Men,

"How dare you!?! Who do you think you are??? That you would take communion and with those same hands then feel up your girlfriend, click onto pornography, or raise your hands to hit your wife!?!"

This morning my house mates and I got up to make pancakes and listen to a sermon that would challenge us to stay pure! The sermon we chose was from Mars Hill Church on manhood and marriage: http://www.marshillchurch.org/media/trial/marriage-and-men. 

Proverbs 27:6a says that wounds from a friend can be trusted. In 1st Chronicles David receives his punishment from the Lord knowing that He is merciful! 

Men when is the last time you felt rebuked? I don't know about you but all I am seeing is men drop the ball everywhere. Is it always our fault? Of course not but we as men need to start taking responsibility! After Adam and Eve sinned the Lord came walking through the garden looking for the man! He is holding us responsible and now is the time for us to step up! There are real consequences every time a man looks at pornography, every time a man raises his hand at his wife, and every time a man gets physically involved with a woman he is not married to. 

I hope you understand this!!! That Lord hates your sin!!! You are messing with the Daughters of God!!! What father is going to listen to your prayers knowing that answering your prayers could put his daughter in danger? No way man!!! By your fruit we will know who you belong to. Are you even saved? Does your actions reflect the change in your heart? Your faith is designed to evidence itself! Does it???

Okay so I know there is a problem. What now? "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." Shed light into the darkness so that the Holy Spirit can move! Also be proactive!!! Do not fall into the same sin of omission like Adam our first father did! If you cannot see the end of the tunnel let me remind you that you can make it! There are men that go into marriage and can truthfully tell there wife that they have been pure, there are women that have men that they trust, and there are men that have overcome addictions; even hard ones like looking at pornography and masturbating! 

Yes we are wretched!!! We have no idea how gross our sin is to God! But that he would still come for us??? While we were in complete rebellion to Him Christ died for us!!! And then conquered sin and death to set us free!!! We have no idea what lengths God will go to keep us free. No idea!

Today my heart is broken. The other day I listened to a sermon on sex trafficking. I was once again reminded how sin has stained this Earth. After listening to the sermon I was in a conversation with some guys and we realized that this whole demonic industry was fueled by man's lust! We realized that pornography is training men to act out sick fantasies and that the only reason there is a sex industry is becasuse there is a demand for illicit sex. How far have we fallen??? Hyper sexualized media, pornography, and other sexual sin is utterly destroying the men in our culture!!! I can't even imagine having a daughter of mine get taken? Our poor daughters! Are we going to let them grow up in a culture where they can’t even play safely in their own front yard? I can’t even fathom our girls getting drugged, beaten, and raped. It turns my stomach even try and thinking about it.

 This is our fault!!! So this is me calling out the men!!! I am throwing down the gauntlet. IT IS TIME FOR OUR PASSIVE CHRISTIANITY TO STOP!!! Mathew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and men of violence take it by force. No more passivity!!! We as men must look to Christ our ultimate example. Yes he was clothed in humility and meekness, but he was a man and in his manhood he found the strength to carry that cross up Calvary's side. In his humanity he found courage to fight for the lost and hurting! In his passion he found a way to conquer sin and death!!! Let us act like the men God has called us to be!!! For the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and men of violence take it by force!!!
