Dream Big!

One of my favorite things about sleeping is dreaming.  I love to snuggle up in bed and think about what I am possibly going to dream about that night.  The crazy thing is when I wake up...very rarely do I recall my dreams.  But there is one dream that I can't shake, one dream that is always with me. Sometimes I try to forget this dream, I try to think that it is a fantasy ...this dream is the dream that the Lord has for me.

One of the core values here at Teen Mania is VISION: "We dare to dream as big as God dreams and believe that, with God on our side, we can achieve the impossible." So often I try to place my dream in a box.  I try to justify how it isn't going to work...and then I remember; it isn't going to work. 

It isn't going to work in my own strength, it is something that only the Lord can do. If I could do it on my own then why would I need a Savior?  If I could accomplish His great plans with my own human abilities then why do I need to have faith? 

The Lord so desperately wants to see our life dream fulfilled...whatever that is that He has given each of us.  He also is eager and jealous to be a part of that dream.  I want to be a big dreamer...I want the ultimate dream to be accomplished...I want the Dream Giver to breathe life in me every day. Do you?

 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.  Ephesians 3:20-21

Valentines Day

It's mind blowing to me how we have an entire day dedicated to show others how much we love them. I went to a store on Saturday and left almost shaking.  There were so many people...the lines were so long...parking was almost impossible.  People were rushing around to buy flowers, cards, or chocolate. We stand in lines, we go to shows, we spend a  lot of money on gifts that are quickly consumed. I baked my team cupcakes, cookies, and made valentines.  All this to express how much I care for them.

I can't help but step back and wonder why I can't do that for my Jesus.  Now, I know what you're thinking...I know Jesus doesn't need my yummy cupcakes.  But He does long for my time.  He is jealous for my heart.  He is yearning for me to let Him love me and allow Him to move in my life. Just like the loved ones in our lives seek quality time, attention, and affection; so does the Lord.  We were created to worship and love him.  We were made to love Him.

Update

Greetings to all!!

"Incredible" and "very eventful" is the way this weekend in Richmond is being described.  We were thrilled to see the groups who were able to make it out and truly missed those who could not join us.  If you were there, you know that we closed out the event around lunch on Saturday due to the phenomenal amount of snow we were getting.

We are wanting to accommodate all our groups to the best of our abilities.  Beginning tomorrow, the Richmond Team will be calling all who were registered for the event.  With this phone call we will be working with you to transfer your seats to another event this Spring; as well as speaking with you about our Year in Advance pricing for Richmond 2011!!

Weather

Hi ATF goers!

Wow! What a crazy turn of events this weather is causing!!!

We at ATF are geared up and ready for an incredible weekend with the Lord and with you!  We have no plans to cancel or postpone this event.  We DO want you and your group to be safe!  I have spoken with several youth leaders who have decided to extend their stay in Richmond an extra night and some who are deciding to pull the plug on their youth group coming.

We want to accommodate you the best we can. Please contact us if there is anything we can be of assistance with. 

WE ARE STILL HAVING THE RICHMOND ACQUIRE THE FIRE!
