Encounter...this weekend!!!

Hi pastors, parents and youth!

We are gearing up and are SO excited for an INCREDIBLE event this weekend!  We just returned from the Houston ATF this past weekend and have never been more excited for an ATF season!

We are praying and believing for the Lord to move in mighty ways, for lives to be forever changed, and God's love to be burning in hearts like never before.  We are overwhelmed at the opportunity to serve with you and be a part of this life transforming weekend!

We are aware of potential weather problems for the weekend.  We at ATf are believing that this will not be a problem for your group.  There are no plans to cancel or postpone the event. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me with those.

We are in great anticipation for this weekend and can't wait to see you there!

Glam and Glitter

So, we here at ATF have just returned from a wonderful Christmas break.  We hope that you all had an enjoyable and blessed time with your family and friends during the holiday!  Now it's time to gear up for a new year...2010...oh what does it hold in store for us?!

As we go into this new year, my heart is for one thing...Jesus.  I want to lay aside all that the world holds dear...all that I thought was important... all the things that hinder me from walking in the fullness of the Lord...lay aside all the glam and glitter and walk in a simple love of Christ.

My hearts cry is to be a  woman who trusts in the Word of the Lord with unashamed dedication and inexplicable faith. Just like the people whose names are honored in Hebrews 11...thats how I have been called to live.  That is how we have ALL been called to live.  We are to trust in an unseen God and be His love to those around us. We are to walk boldly where He has called and serve with compassion to those neglected.  Are we fulfilling His plans? Are we giving our all to see His kingdom come?

My team and I are praying for a revival and a revolution to happen amongst the nations but specifically in the upcoming generation. We know that the Lord has amazing plans for each one of them, plans to be men and women who move mountains with their faith.  Please join us in praying, believing and reaching this generation for Him!!!

Giving Thanks

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.  Sing to him; yes sing his praises.  Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.1 Chronicles 16:8-9

As we go in to this season of thanksgiving, let us purpose to be thankful for all the things the Lord has done.  My prayer for us all is for the Lord to recall all that He has done, been, given, brought us through...and for us to be thankful for it all.  Hard times may have come but we are to thank the Lord for it all.  We are to praise His name even in the storm.  We know that the refining fire produces the gold.

May you all be richly blessed by friends and family during this holiday season.  You are all in our thoughts and prayers here!!!

Encountering LOVE

This past weekend the interns at the Honor Academy (TeenMania's internship) experienced God in a whole new way.  Beginning Wednesday evening, they took part of a 3 day fast.  On Thursday they worked and had a special time of prayer in place of lunch.  Then, at 10pm on Thursday night they took a vow of silence.  This was a fast from the world...no talking, texting, reading anything but the Bible...it was just them and God.

Upon their arrival into the office on Monday, my heart was filled with joy from all the testimonies of their incredible weekend. Many of them received vision for the next phase of their life...several felt the Lord speaking to them about past hurts...but one thing that they ALL held witness to was the fact that the Lord encountered them and showed His love in a way they had never experienced.

These young men and women are eager to be used by the Lord and to reach out to a hurting generation.  They are ready to help them ENCOUNTER God!!

Life Changing Experience

Hi, friends!

My name is Rhonda Brown and I am the new Regional Manager for the Richmond Acquire the Fire. I am originally from North Carolina and was blessed to attend Bible college in Virginia.I now reside in Texas, but heart will always be on the East Coast!

I remember attending my first ATF as a youth.  I was 15 years old and my youth group decided to attend this event that I had never heard of.  Being the committed youth group member that I was, or maybe just a social butterfly, I had to go and be a part of what was happening.  That year the theme was "WorldChanger."  To this day I can still sing a part of the main song for the weekend!  That weekend changed my life for eternity.  I realized that I could change the world.  I could make a difference...and that is exactly what the Lord was asking me to do.

Now, many years later, I am a part of helping youth all over North America have this same experience.  I get to partner with youth leaders and pastors from all over and help in shaking a generation.  I consider this an honor as well as an enormous challenge from God.  Who am I that He would consider me for such a privilege?  Who am I that He would look at me and think that I could do anything of worth for His kingdom?  Well... I am a WorldChanger.

My team and I look forward to partnering with you to make the Richmond Acquire the Fire  a life transforming event for you and your youth.  Please contact us with anything that we can help with or pray for.

From one world changer to the next,

Rhonda
